Grapehounds 2010
Every year I say I'll capture the event in photos, and every year I get busy and only end up with glimpses. Here are a few of those.
But first, we want to thank the wonderful volunteers who came out for Grapehounds and helped make it such a successful time for us. We appreciate your time and efforts more than we can say!
- Di & Jim with Suzie & Miles
- Jon with Roger
- Deb & Melissa with Brynn (the wild woman)
- Neil, Ailish, and Emma with Finn
- Mo without her new super spook dog Denny
- Emily & Dan with Darby & Nellie
- Scott with Raphael
Thank you all so much. We couldn't carry on without your help.
Now the photos.
After a few technical difficulties, our button and magnet makers, Di and Jim, celebrate the first successful button! We took photos of people and/or their hounds, added text (if desired), and created buttons and (mostly) magnets on the spot. A big hit, and Di and Jim have promised to be there again next year, and there's talk of making a free button part of the package for next year.

Our half-Greyhound puppy, Elmo, was a popular tourist attraction. His non-stop wagging tail never failed him!

One of the cooling-off pools was located in front of our tent, and it saw a lot of use, as it could get quite hot for those of us with permanent fur coats.

We spotted one of our shirts from a previous event. We have a fan! Yay.

Aaaaaaaand I didn't get any shots of:
- the crowd in general
- the vendors
- the concert
- the ice cream social (I was up to my elbows - figuratively - in frozen yogurt the whole time!)
- the blessing of the hounds, followed by the mass roooooooooo-ing
- the silent auction
- the walk at Taughannock
- etc., etc.
Well, you get the picture. Oh wait, no you don't.
Maybe next year I'll do better. Maybe.
